
Personnel of Operation Hadin Kai have detained three alleged accomplices of Boko Haram and ISWAP in the Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.
This news was revealed in a post shared on X by security expert, Zagazola Makama.
As per the post, the individuals were apprehended on April 13 by operatives from Sector 3 Military Intelligence Brigade, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in the Abari vicinity.
The individuals were recognized as Falmata Abukar, 43; Halima Audu, 35; and Mairo Abba, 17.
Security sources indicated that they were intercepted while attempting to travel from Abari to Mararaba village in Kukawa Local Government Area.
“Items seized from them include 12 sets of suspected terrorist uniforms, 176 bottles of herbicide, 22 wrappers, 24 various children’s garments, a mosquito net, a mat, and N15,500 in cash,” Makama noted.
The sources further mentioned that the items are believed to be logistical provisions intended for insurgents active around the Lake Chad region.
The suspects are presently in military custody and are undergoing initial investigation to ascertain their level of involvement and potential connections to terrorist factions in the area.
