Manchester United icon, Roy Keane, has criticized midfielders Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte following the Red Devils’ Premier League 2-1 loss to Leeds United on Monday.
According to Keane, the midfield partnership displayed zero vitality or skill, particularly during a dreary first half at Old Trafford.
Leeds triumphed over the Red Devils, courtesy of Noah Okafor’s double as they secured all three points against Michael Carrick’s team.
However, Keane was dissatisfied with Casemiro and Ugarte’s minimal impact on the game.
“They weren’t running. United. And the moment at the end was too little too late. It’s a significant setback for them,” Keane remarked to The Mirror.
“The midfield? Absent. Those two (Casemiro and Ugarte), particularly in the first half—no vitality, no skill.
“Leeds got off to a fast start, and it was an excellent outcome for Leeds.”
