“NNL Showdown Rescheduled: Osun United Takes on Sporting Lagos!”

The Nigeria National League, NNL, matchup between Osun United and Sporting Lagos has been delayed.

The contest, originally set for Wednesday 15th April, will now be held on Thursday 16th April, 2026 in Osogbo.

The reason for the alteration in date was not disclosed by Sporting Lagos.

“Our match against Osun United that was initially planned for Wednesday 15th April has been rescheduled to Thursday 16th April,” Sporting Lagos announced on their social platform.

Sporting Lagos needs to secure victory in this match to attain promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

The small club is being pursued by Akwa United, who will compete against Solution FC in their final match of the season.

Sporting Lagos holds the leading position on the NNL Conference B standings with 33 points, while Akwa United follows closely with 32 points.
