“Nasarawa United Triumphs Over Ikorodu City, But Longs for Fan Spirit – Ogunbote”

Plateau United’s technical consultant, Gbenga Ogunbote, mentions that his squad lacked the backing of their fans in the triumph over Ikorodu City.

The Peace Boys triumphed over Ikorodu City 4-1 in a matchday 33 clash at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.

Currently, Plateau United is hosting their home fixtures at the Lafia City Stadium due to the security disturbances in Jos.

Ogunbote expressed that while he appreciated the enthusiasm of the Lafia supporters, he emphasized that he would have preferred the match to occur at their original venue.

“We truly missed the backing of our twelfth player, which refers to the supporters,” Ogunbote conveyed to Plateau United’s media.

“However, we valued the support of the Lafia fans, but would have favored playing this match in Jos.”
