Godswill Akpabio, the Leader of the Nigerian Senate, has indicated that the worsening security conditions in the nation would cease two weeks following the upcoming general elections.
Akpabio made this remark on Tuesday during the formal inauguration of the Nigerian Revenue Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
He mentioned that President Bola Tinubu is performing exceptionally well, and those in opposition are left with no option but to provoke violence and fund insecurity.
He stated, “Insecurity is escalating due to the approaching elections, as individuals are uncertain about what action to take next.
“Shortly after the election, two weeks post-election, the insecurity will diminish. The chaos is being financed by certain individuals.”
NAIJATAB reports that the security dilemma has recently worsened, with some military leaders and numerous soldiers paying the ultimate price.
President Tinubu convened a private meeting on Monday with military leaders and the Inspector General of Police, IGP.
