
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has formally inaugurated 36 recently elected members of its State Executive Council, with Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde acting as State Chairman.
The oath-taking ceremony occurred on Wednesday at the party’s State Secretariat, where Barr. Abdulmumini Adamu administered the oath of office and issued certificates to the executives.
NAIJATAB reports that out of the 36 officials, 29 were sworn in, while seven were absent due to travel obligations, including one in Saudi Arabia and the others attending the party’s zonal congress in Gombe State.
The remaining officials are anticipated to take their oaths prior to the party’s national convention.
Present at the event were notable executives, including State Secretary Mustapha Zurami, Zonal Vice Chairmen Yusuf Kawu Gana II and Ibrahim Ahmad (Zone III), Legal Adviser Barr. Rabiu Garba, Assistant Legal Adviser Mohammed A. Umar, State Treasurer Ahmed Abubakar Yaro, and Financial Secretary Bilya Usman Burna,
Along with: Assistant Financial Secretary Lamara Ahmad Jajo, State Organising Secretary Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad, Auditor Ayuba Musa, Publicity Secretary Shehu Dauda Mohammed, State Welfare Secretary Ibrahim Gambo, and State Women Leader Rabi Musa, among others.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, Chairman Tilde vowed to uphold the trust placed in them and deliver accountable, God-fearing leadership.
He urged committee members to follow party regulations strictly, perform their responsibilities with integrity, and encourage inclusiveness within the party.
Tilde also urged APC members throughout the state to support the new leadership, particularly as the party gears up for the 2027 general elections.
He reiterated the significance of unity and integration of party members, while pledging to strive for electoral triumphs for APC across all levels, including the presidency, gubernatorial, National Assembly, and State Assembly.
Additionally, he motivated party supporters to rally residents to guarantee the party’s ongoing success.
