John Arum, the kidnapped University of Jos alumnus has refuted speculations circulating regarding his demise in the captors’ hideout.

In a new video published on April 20, today, the assailants stated that the rumor spreading online about the demise of their captive is unfounded.

In the footage, the individual can also be heard saying “today is April 20, 2026 and I am alive.

“They requested 10 million naira for my liberation and 6 million has been disbursed, leaving 4 million naira outstanding.”

The captors, however, cautioned that any further holdups may result in the death of the captive.

An alarming clip of the young alumnus had inundated the Internet recently, amplifying worries regarding his safety in the kidnappers’ hideout.
