“Ekiti’s Dark Secret: Cultist Arrested and Firearm Seized!”



Agents of the Ekiti State Police Command’s Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have detained a suspected associate of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity discovered with an improvised firearm in the Ado-Ekiti area.

The individual, recognized as Adeleke Tosin, also known as Damo, was taken into custody on April 16, 2026, following what law enforcement described as reliable information that he was spotted in the vicinity with the firearm.

Authorities stated that a thorough operation led to his capture.

During questioning, Adeleke allegedly admitted to being a member of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity and acknowledged involvement in recent gang altercations in Ado-Ekiti and surrounding areas that resulted in fatalities among rival members.

One improvised pistol was seized from the individual, reported the Command. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend other evading associates of the organization.

The suspect is set to face charges in court following the completion of investigations, according to the police.

In response to the arrest, the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, encouraged citizens to stay alert and assist the police with trustworthy information to cleanse the state of offenders.

He further cautioned cultists and other unlawful elements to reform their ways, emphasizing that the long arm of justice will inevitably pursue them.
