
The Nigerian Army has unveiled a video depicting the admission of a suspected Boko Haram affiliate, who asserted that individuals present at the Jilli market during a recent aerial assault were part of the group allegedly engaged in logistical operations.
In the clip disseminated by the Army, the young man is observed being questioned regarding the movement patterns and operational endeavors of his comrades.
He additionally discussed the functions of other suspected affiliates connected to recent assaults.
NAIJATAB reports that this follows a military air operation at Jilli Market, where at least 56 individuals, primarily vendors were reported to be feared dead due to the airstrike near the Borno Yobe border.
The event took place on Saturday in the border region between Gubio and Geidam.
Four combat aircraft were reportedly engaged in the operation, which was said to have aimed at suspected Boko Haram militants.
In reply, the Nigerian Air Force indicated that the strikes were executed based on reliable intelligence and in collaboration with ground forces.
