
Criminals kidnapped six individuals during a pre-dawn raid on Gazau village in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
A source informed NAIJATAB that the assailants stormed the village at approximately 1:00 am on Monday and initially seized a total of 13 individuals, comprising 12 women and one man, after invading multiple residences.
He clarified that the assailants subsequently halted at Dan Adama Forest and instructed those captured to declare their identities, stating that they released one person for every two individuals from the same family.
He elaborated, “Ultimately, the attackers took six individuals to their hideout, while seven others were liberated.”
He listed the names of those kidnapped as Asabe Zakariya, Inno Ibrahim, Inno Musa, Umma Yusuf, Safina Abdullahi, and Saminu Jijji.
The source also disclosed that the bandits warned of continuing daily assaults on the village unless the inhabitants sought forgiveness from them.
The chairman of Isa LGA, Sharehu Abubakar Kamarawa, could not be contacted by phone as his numbers were unreachable.
In the same vein, the Sokoto State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ahmad Rufai, did not reply to calls to his phone.
