Former England forward, Gary Lineker, is remaining confident in Arsenal’s chances to secure the Premier League crown, despite their defeats in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
The Gunners were aiming for an extraordinary Quadruple, but fell to Manchester City with a score of 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final.
Over the weekend, Mikel Arteta’s squad also suffered a 2-1 loss to Southampton in an FA Cup quarter-final encounter.
These outcomes have now sparked concerns about whether Arsenal’s season is truly at risk of collapsing.
They are set to face Sporting in the Champions League quarter-finals and hold a nine-point advantage over City in the league.
Lineker, while speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, stated: “It’s been a challenging fortnight for Arsenal.
“People are questioning if they are in a state of panic or if it’s a crisis; it’s certainly a slight stumble.
“The next couple of matches are crucial for Arsenal; they must regain their composure, there’s no doubt about that.
“They possess a substantial lead in the title chase, but it’s tense times.
“I believe they will be alright, I have faith they will clinch the league, which remains their primary objective.
“The Champions League would undoubtedly be a significant bonus since it’s a tournament they’ve yet to conquer.”
