“Law Enforcement Strikes: Bandit Taken Down, 33 Stolen Livestock Recovered in Kebbi”

Kebbi State Police Command has eliminated a suspected member of the Lakurawa terrorist faction and disrupted an effort to steal 33 cattle along the Kamba–Kangiwa route in Dandi Local Government Area.

The armed criminals allegedly assaulted a farm in the vicinity and made off with the animals before being confronted by a combined security squad made up of police officials and troops from the Army’s Forward Operating Base, FOB, in Kamba.

The rapid reaction compelled the assailants to abandon the stolen livestock and retreat.

In a declaration, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, verified that one of the bandits was slain during the operation, while another escaped with injuries from gunfire.

He mentioned that all 33 stolen cattle were effectively retrieved and returned to their rightful proprietor.

“Efforts are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspects,” the declaration stated.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Hadejia, praised the operatives for their swift action and effective cooperation in repelling the assault.

He assured residents that the command would enhance patrols throughout vulnerable areas to combat banditry and ensure the security of lives and property in Kebbi State.
