
Chibuike Nwaiwu cannot conceal his enthusiasm after achieving his first appearance for the Super Eagles, reports Completesports.com.
The Trabzonspor defender made his inaugural appearance for the Super Eagles in the 2-1 triumph over Iran in Antalya, Turkey on Friday.
Nwaiwu substituted for Igoh Ogbuh in the latter half of the match.
The 22-year-old was summoned as a last-minute substitute for the injured Calvin Bassey.
The defender expressed that it was an honor to represent the three-time African champions.
“It is an honor for me to serve my nation since the aspiration of all footballers worldwide is to represent their country, and I am extremely delighted to make my debut today,” he shared with the Super Eagles media.
