Mourinho Overwhelmed with Emotion Before Benfica vs Vitoria Guimaraes Showdown

Benfica’s head coach, Jose Mourinho, could not contain his emotions prior to their match against Vitoria Guimaraes on Saturday evening.

Mourinho appeared notably moved during the minute’s silence dedicated to Silvino Louro.

Louro had been a cherished member of his coaching team for many years.

The former Portuguese goalkeeper passed away at 67 after a prolonged illness.

He collaborated with Mourinho at Porto and later accompanied him during his tenures at Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.

Before the match against Vitoria Guimaraes, Mourinho was observed with watery eyes, gazing at the large screen where Silvino’s image was displayed.

As he turned back towards the dugout, he brushed away the tears just before kick-off.
