The Village Boys Movement, VBM, has declared a two-million-person march to garner backing for the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
NAIJATAB informs that VBM is a project initiated by ADC supporters to counter the City Boys Movement, an entity established by President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, for his father’s re-election campaign.
A communication released on Friday by the Village Boys Headmaster, Maazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, stated that the two-million-person march would be carried out in stages, with the first phase set for March 28, 2026.
The first phase is anticipated to occur in Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Plateau, Jigawa, Kaduna, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Enugu, Kogi, and Edo.
The second phase will “encompass key states and territories, such as Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Delta, Kano, Imo, and others, with dates to be revealed in due time.”
The movement also cautioned that the call for “credible governance in Nigeria is no longer debatable,” asserting that the “Nigerian populace is mobilized, organized, and resolute to seize stewardship of their democratic destiny.”
“In a period when various political parties and groups, including the PDP, APC, Labour Party, and the Southern and Middle Belt Forum, are voicing the call for a Southern Presidency, the Village Boys Movement insists that the ADC must uphold justice, fairness, and national advancement by making the appropriate choice at this pivotal juncture,” the communication added.
