Unveiling the Salary Titans of Ligue 1: Who Tops the Charts?



Paris Saint-Germain attacker, Ousmane Dembele, holds the title of the highest-earning player in the French Ligue 1.

Based on a list assembled by L’Équipe, the 2025 Ballon d’Or recipient is said to receive €1.5 million gross each month.

Dembele’s fellow Paris Saint-Germain players Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi, and Lucas Hernandez round out the top three.

Marquinhos’ gross monthly remuneration is approximated at €1.12 million, while Hakimi and Hernandez garner €1.1 million each.

The list is predominantly led by PSG athletes who include 16 of their players among the top 30 highest-paid individuals in the league.

Olympique de Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, with earnings estimated at €500,000, ranks 13th.

Højbjerg is the first non-Parisian to feature on the roster.

With eight players participating, Marseille is the second-most represented team, followed by AS Monaco (2), Stade Rennais (2), Olympique Lyonnais (1), and OGC Nice (1).
