Nigeria’s national soccer squad has confirmed the passing of former forward, Michael Eneramo.
Eneramo allegedly collapsed and passed away during a training session on Friday morning in Kaduna.
Attempts to resuscitate the 40-year-old ultimately were unsuccessful.
In the 10 appearances he made for the Super Eagles, Eneramo netted three goals.
In a statement on their official X account, the Eagles expressed: “Rest in peace Michael.”
Eneramo was associated with the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, team Lobi Stars, prior to his transfer abroad, where he commenced his professional journey with Tunisian powerhouse, Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
He primarily competed in Turkey for teams such as Sivasspor, Beşiktaş, Karabükspor, Istanbul Başakşehir, and Manisaspor.
