The Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kebbi State, Abubakar Bawa, has formally stepped down from the organization, with immediate effect.
Bawa presented his resignation in a letter dated March 30 to the Ward Chairman of Kalgo Ward within Kalgo Local Government Area.
In his correspondence, he expressed appreciation to the party for the chance to serve and acknowledged the assistance he received during his time in office.
“I appreciate the party for the opportunity provided to me to make my contribution and wish the PDP ongoing success and advancement,” he noted.
The resignation has garnered political attention within the Kebbi PDP, particularly amid subtle shifts leading up to the 2027 general elections.
Bawa’s exit occurs shortly after he reaffirmed the state chapter’s involvement in the Wike-supported factional convention in Abuja, raising concerns among political analysts regarding potential internal divisions and evolving dynamics within the organization.
