NGX closes negative with market cap down N2 billion



The Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) concluded today’s trading session with a market capitalization drop of N2 billion as bears resumed dominance over the local stock exchange.

The All Share Index (ASI), which ended at 47,656.64 points, fell by 0.01%. The market capitalization also saw a decrease of N2 billion.

The stock market was valued at N25.9 trillion as of Thursday’s market closure. Since the year’s start, the market has risen by 4904.2 basis points (11.56%).

At the end of today’s session, market breadth was favorable, with UPDCREIT leading 13 gainers and HONYFLOUR topping the list of 11 decliners.
