Kliff played as a quarterback for his high school team during his adolescent years. He subsequently continued to play football at the college level. Furthermore, he created seven NCAA FBS records. Due to his remarkable achievements, the coaches named Kliff to the All-District first team and the All-Big 12 Conference second team. By the end of the 2002 season, he was awarded the Sammy Baugh Trophy, recognizing him as the nation’s top collegiate passer.
