Born Kiari Kendrell Cephus on December 14, 1991, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA, he reunited with his father only after 23 years of separation, having last seen him when he was just four.

He grew up in suburban Gwinnett County, Georgia, alongside his future collaborators, Quavo and Takeoff; Quavo is Offset’s cousin, whereas Quavo is also Takeoff’s uncle.
