Using a USSD code
Similar to other network providers, MTN has an easy-to-remember code for subscribers to check their phone numbers.
All you need to do is dial the USSD code and follow the instructions.
The USSD code is *123# – as you can see, it is quite simple to remember.
After dialing the code, you will gain access to the Menu.
You should then select option 1. Once you make this selection, you will be directed to the My Tools feature.
Choose option 1, labeled ‘My Number.’
Your phone number will appear instantly.
An alternative method is to dial 1231*1# or *663#
Contact a friend or family member
Another straightforward way to retrieve your phone number is by calling a friend or family member. However, keep in mind that you must have airtime on your SIM card for this method.
Simply call a friend nearby and ask them to tell you or send your number through SMS.
Call Me Back Feature
This is another option to obtain your phone number even if you lack airtime. Just dial *133# on your device to utilize the Call Me Back feature to a friend or family member nearby. Your number will show up on their phone, and you can then jot it down and save it.
MTN self-service My MTN App
This is a self-service platform offered by MTN for its numerous subscribers.
To access this portal, you will need to log in with your phone number and PIN.
You also need to download a special self-service mobile application called My MTN App on your smartphone.
To gain access, text the word ‘Care’ to the number 5018 from your MTN line. You will receive a message with a link that allows you to download the app. Install the application on your phone. After this, you can check various types of information about your account, including your phone number.
5. Contact Customer Care
You can easily call the MTN customer care number to find out your number. Dial 180 or 200.
