Ed McCaffrey is a professional American football coach who dedicated 13 seasons to the National Football League (NFL). Currently, he manages the football team of the Northern Colorado Bears.

He commenced his career in 1991, being selected in the third round of the NFL draft by the New York Giants. After three seasons, Edward signed a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. Moreover, in 2000, he and his teammate Rod Smith became just the second pair of wide receivers from the same team to achieve 100 receptions in one season.

He initiated coaching youth football camps in the summer of 2000. In 2011, he launched SportsEddy, an organization that includes football, soccer, basketball, and baseball.
