The 2023 vice-presidential nominee of the Labour Party, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has characterized Hakeem Baba-Ahmed of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) as a notable political entity who may represent a significant threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in light of the 2027 elections.

Datti expressed these views on Tuesday during a segment on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

He indicated that numerous individuals have misjudged Hakeem Baba-Ahmed despite his extensive background and political acumen.

“If there’s any matter that presents a risk to Tinubu 2027, it is Dr. Hakeem and PRP,” he stated. “People are unaware of him. They have undervalued him. He is serious about his intentions.”

Datti proceeded to emphasize Baba-Ahmed’s credentials, portraying him as an experienced public servant and scholar with considerable years of service.

“He ascended through the hierarchy; all the documentation exists. He is not motivated by financial gain. He is earnest in his endeavors,” he remarked.

He further condemned the APC, asserting that the party erred by misjudging Baba-Ahmed.

“APC has made a grave error. They do not comprehend who Hakeem is,” he asserted.
