Former Newcastle United forward, Alan Shearer, continues to endorse Arsenal for the Premier League championship.
Shearer made these remarks after the Gunners triumphed over his old team 1-0 on Saturday.
Eberechi Eze netted the sole goal of the encounter in the first half.
The match was a nail-biter at the Emirates, as Arsenal pulled ahead by three points of Manchester City, who has a match in hand.
Nevertheless, Shearer remains optimistic that they will conclude this season as champions.
He stated: “I assure you, I still have faith that Arsenal can seize this Premier League title, and anyone who believes this contest is done due to what transpired at the Etihad is making a significant error.
“What stood out to me the most is Arsenal themselves. Observe today against us (Newcastle United).
“Everyone had their doubts, people questioned their mentality, asserting that the pressure affected them, yet they responded just as title challengers ought to. The drive, the vigor, the desire, it was all present. They didn’t allow Newcastle to settle for a moment.
“That conveys everything I need to understand. Psychologically, they’re still right in the mix.”
