
Nigeria’s Flamingos will participate in friendly matches against local teams, Generation Next and Nazareth Queens this weekend, NAIJATAB reports.
These friendly matches will act as part of the squad’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Guinea.
The Flamingos will compete with Generation Next and Nazareth Queens at the Gold Project Pitch in Abuja this Saturday and Sunday.
Head coach Akeem Busari has called up 36 players to camp for the initial phase of the team’s preparations earlier this month.
The players are currently residing at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Abuja.
Guinea will stage the first leg of the second round qualifying match in Conakry between May 22-24, while the return leg is scheduled for Nigeria on May 30.
