The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has reached out to William Osula regarding a potential switch to play for the Super Eagles, NAIJATAB reports.
Osula, who is presently associated with the Premier League club Newcastle United, qualifies to represent Nigeria through his father.
The 22-year-old was born to a Danish mother and a French-Nigerian father.
The forward has consistently embraced his Nigerian heritage, despite having participated for Denmark at the youth level.
Osula received his first senior call-up from Denmark for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March, but did not make an appearance for the nation.
Football analyst, Farzam Abolhosseini announced on X that the NFF has already initiated contact with the forward.
It remains uncertain whether Osula will be inclined to represent Nigeria at the senior level.
