“NPFL Hits Kano Pillars with a Whopping N15m Penalty for Violent Behavior”



Kano Pillars have been penalized an amount of N15 million for violating the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, regulations during their encounter with Rivers United.

The Sai Masu Gida did not provide sufficient and efficient security, allowing unauthorized individuals to access restricted areas.

“‎Due to continual failure to ensure appropriate conduct of their supporters, which led to the harassment and intimidation of match officials, Kano Pillars are fined N3m.

‎Kano Pillars were additionally fined N3m for repeated serious misconduct towards match officials.

‎For ongoing interruptions and delays of the match, resulting in the harassment of the center referee and stoppage of play, Kano Pillars have also incurred a fine of N2m.

‎Kano Pillars will also conduct the remaining matches in the NPFL without spectators.

The Kano club triumphed over Rivers United 2-1 at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

‎The club has a window of 48 hours from the notice date to contest the penalties.
