
Nigerian vocalist Charles Chibueze Chukwu, widely recognized as Crayon, has revealed his previous battle with mental wellness and how he managed to conquer it.
During a livestream with Caterefe on Thursday evening, Crayon shared that he faced mental wellness challenges in 2022 due to expectations from his family and the music sector.
He elaborated that he was experiencing significant pressure as he attempted to fulfill family obligations while also striving for prominence in the music domain.
The music artist mentioned that he was admitted for treatment for an extended period, after which he returned with the chart-topping tracks ‘Labalaba’ and ‘Overloading’.
Crayon remarked, “In 2022, I encountered mental wellness challenges from various pressures; family, industry, striving to be the best kind of stress. I was hospitalized for a prolonged therapy period, then I emerged and released Labalaba and Overloading.”
