“Investigating the Truth: Police Launch Inquest into Blessing CEO’s Cancer Allegations”

Renowned Nigerian social media commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, commonly referred to as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has declared that a petition he initiated against the contentious relationship counselor, Blessing Okoro, famously known as Blessing CEO, has been sanctioned for examination by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

This development emerges amidst the uproar surrounding Blessing CEO’s recent assertion that she was grappling with stage four cancer.

On March 25, 2026, Blessing CEO posted a viral clip on her Instagram account where she emotionally conveyed that she had been diagnosed with stage four cancer. In the footage, she exhibited signs of hair loss, which she attributed to the ailment.

In light of her announcement, she also disclosed that she had started auctioning some of her assets to generate funds for her cancer therapy.

However, the scenario shifted dramatically after the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Delta State branch, repudiated a histology report circulating online that was associated with Blessing CEO.

The organization clarified that the document was reportedly tampered with from an original medical report pertaining to another patient diagnosed with breast cancer.

NAIJATAB recalls that Blessing CEO had previously shared the medical report online to substantiate her assertion while seeking financial aid from the public.

After facing extensive backlash and accusations that the medical report had been altered, Blessing CEO later retracted her previous claim.

In an interview amid the upheaval, she stated, “I don’t have stage four cancer. That was a misunderstanding.”

She further mentioned that the total amount from the donations she received totaled 13 million Naira.

She subsequently disabled her social media account.

In response to the incident, VeryDarkMan mentioned that he opted to file a petition after he personally contributed funds to Blessing CEO, believing her assertion.

In a video shared on his official Instagram account on Tuesday, VDM explained that he was touched by empathy after watching the video where she shaved her head.

“I believed her because she shaved her hair and felt compassion. On that specific day, I had nothing left in my account, yet I still transferred money to her,” he stated.

He expressed his discontent regarding the situation, emphasizing that numerous individuals genuinely facing cancer deserve sympathy and support.

“There are many people living with cancer. How can someone emerge and make light of something like this?” he added.

VDM further revealed that he has officially lodged a petition with the police concerning the matter.

“I have submitted a petition against Blessing CEO and the Inspector General of Police has assigned it for investigation,” he remarked.
