Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk, has asserted that Trabzonspor transforms into a different squad when their leading forward, Paul Onuachu, is absent.

Buruk commented during his post-game interview after Onuachu guided Trabzonspor to a 2-1 victory over Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig match over the weekend.

He indicated that Trabzonspor would have encountered difficulties securing a win against his team if the Nigerian international was not present at the Papara Park.

Onuachu netted the opening goal for the home team against the visitors, securing all three points for his side.

“Trabzonspor changes when Onuachu is missing. Regular players develop specific routines,” Buruk remarked as noted by BeinSports.

In spite of the match’s result, Galatasaray continues to lead the Turkish Super Lig, holding a point advantage over third-placed Trabzonspor.

Buruk’s team has a match in hand, and should they triumph in their pending game, they will pull four points clear at the top of the standings.
