ADC Sets the Record Straight on David Mark’s Departure as National Chair

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has refuted claims asserting that its Interim National Chairman, David Mark, has stepped down from his role.

The organization characterized the allegations as untrue and deceptive.

In a declaration released by the Media Office of the National Chairman, the claims were dismissed as “a nefarious concoction” created by “immature, frail, and thoughtless propagandists.”

The declaration emphasized that Mark continues to be the legitimate National Chairman of the party, underscoring that there are no intentions or discussions concerning his resignation.

“The claim that Senator David Mark has resigned dwells solely in the distorted thoughts of those dedicated to disseminating false information and instigating turmoil within our party,” the declaration stated.

It also highlighted that the party’s leadership stands united and dedicated to enhancing democratic values and providing trustworthy guidance to Nigerians.

The declaration cautioned against attempts to disrupt the ADC, attributing such initiatives to apprehensions regarding the party’s increasing stature and the changing political landscape in anticipation of the 2027 general elections.

“The ADC, its leadership, and the vast majority of Nigerians are resolute in their shared commitment to thwart any schemes aimed at undermining Nigeria’s multi-party democracy or enforcing a one-party regime,” the declaration continued.

The party called on Nigerians to dismiss the speculations and remain confident in the stability of ADC’s leadership.
