Blaze Devours Homes in Oyo: A Community in Crisis



Assets valued in millions of naira have been damaged due to a fire incident that transpired in a residential structure in Oyo town.
The event, as per sources, took place at Lane 6A, Gbenga Oyekola Scheme, Boroboro locality in Oyo.

NAIJATAB obtained from sources that the event occurred on Wednesday.

It was reported that the blaze impacted several assets valued in millions of naira within the structure.

Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, when reached, verified the occurrence.

He stated that the agency was alerted and promptly dispatched its personnel to the location.

Akinwande, while elaborating, remarked that members of the Federal Fire Service were also present at the site.

He additionally revealed that no injuries were reported at the location.

He mentioned: “Upon reaching the site, we encountered the final room on the left of a private residential structure of a four-bedroom flat engulfed in flames. The fire crew rapidly initiated action, and the flames were contained to prevent spreading to the entire building and other assets.”
