Unconventional performer, Charles Oputa known as Charly Boy, has accused President Bola Tinubu of traveling to the United Kingdom, UK, to meet with “influential figures” while Nigeria is ablaze.
He criticized the multi-billion dollar pact established between Nigeria and the British administration.
The well-known entertainer emphasized that such arrangements cannot succeed amidst the current high level of insecurity, lack of electricity, and the populace suffering due to distress.
Charly Boy expressed these sentiments in a post he shared in Pidgin on his X page.
He stated: “My people, let’s speak the truth without embellishment. Bola Ahmed Tinubu journeyed to the UK to meet with influential figures, but back home, the fire continues to rage. Who is deceiving whom? You abandon issues locally, and travel with a full entourage for photographs at the palace.
“They will claim it’s about building connections, signing pacts, and engaging in grand discussions. But please, if electricity is unstable, security is uncertain, and the populace is lamenting, which agreement will function first?
“Even worse, they brought a full team along. Governors, ministers, everyone wants to make an appearance. It has become as if governance has turned into a collective outing.
“Meanwhile, in areas like Borno State, individuals still face significant difficulties. Yet our leader smiles for the international lens. Life is not an Instagram filter.
“If your home is in order, you won’t need to go outside seeking approval. Your community will stand firmly with you.
“But when the situation is unsteady, even a golden handshake can feel like a hollow promise. Nigeria, open your eyes wide. This drama we are witnessing is merely a rerun.”
