Former Sporting CP right-back, Virgílio Lopes, has alerted Arsenal regarding his former club ahead of both teams’ UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash in April.

He warned the Premier League frontrunners that Sporting is capable of defeating any team in the Champions League following their comeback triumph against Bodø/Glimt in the Round of 16 stage.

As per his remarks, the Portuguese team has previously overcome Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.

“Sporting possesses the quality and capability to conquer any of these teams,” Virgilio stated as referenced by Metro.
