NGX starts week on a negative as investors lose



As bears reclaimed dominance over the local market, the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) concluded today’s trading session with a market capitalization decline of N64 billion.

The All Share Index (ASI), which finalized at 47,436.45 points, dropped by 0.24%. The market capitalization fell by N64 billion in a similar fashion.

The stock market’s value stood at N25.8 trillion as of Monday’s closing. The stock market has surged by 4720.01 basis points, equating to 11.04%, since the start of the year.

In the meantime, market breadth concluded today’s session negatively, with PRESTIGE heading the list of 15 gainers and BETAGLAS at the forefront of 17 losers.
