A representative from Jigawa State, Alhaji Isah Baba Buji, has collapsed and died while taking part in the presidential primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja.
The deceased Assistant APC chairman in charge of Jigawa central zone is thought to have succumbed to cardiac failure on Tuesday morning at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja.
As reported by The Nation, Buji fainted while getting ready to head to Eagle Square, the venue of the primary along with other representatives from the State.
The Public Relations officer of Jigawa APC, Malam Bashir Kundu, who confirmed the occurrence stated, “Yes, he passed away this morning. He collapsed at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja and was quickly transported to the hospital but sadly died before arrival. Upon our arrival at the hospital, he was pronounced dead. It has been implied that he passed due to cardiac failure.”
