Tragic Incident: Jigawa Delegate Collapses and Passes Away at APC Presidential Primary in Abuja

A representative from Jigawa State, Alhaji Isah Baba Buji, has collapsed and died while taking part in the presidential primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja. The deceased Assistant APC chairman in charge of Jigawa central zone is thought to have succumbed to cardiac failure on Tuesday morning at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja. As reported by The Nation, Buji fainted while getting ready to head to Eagle Square, the venue of the primary along with other representatives from the State. APC Governors Trim Presidential Aspirants to Three at Abuja National Convention!

Governors chosen under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have further streamlined the list of prospective presidential contenders to three at the ongoing National Convention in Abuja. NAIJATAB NEWS had earlier revealed that APC governors presented a five-member roster of contenders from the southern region to President Muhammadu Buhari for assessment. The candidates initially proposed were Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Rotimi Amaechi; Governor Kayode Fayemi and Governor Dave Umahi. The Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji, has constructed and contributed a top-notch building for the benefit of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Dobi, Abuja. The inauguration/dedication of the new parish structure to the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja occurred recently. Sterling Law Centre condemns alleged inhuman treatment of Abuja hotel cleaner by DSS

The Sterling Law Centre has criticized the Department of Security Service for purportedly inhumane treatment of one Patrick Okachi, a janitor at the Statement Hotel in Abuja. The center urged the FCT Commissioner of Police to initiate an immediate inquiry and the prosecution of suspects in the relevant court in a statement jointly endorsed yesterday by its Director, Deji Ajare, and Executive Communication Officer, Adaobi Iyiegbu.
