Ekiti Elections: APC Claims Victory at Inaugural Polling Station

The gubernatorial contender of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abiodun Oyebanji, has succeeded in his first Polling Unit during the ongoing Ekiti State gubernatorial election. The APC claimed victory at polling unit 10, ward 10, Afao/Kajola, with Oyebanji accumulating 20 votes, outpacing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Bisi Kolawole, who earned merely two votes. The representative of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Segun Oni, alongside candidates from other parties, failed to secure any votes in this polling unit. KEMI KILANI NEWS previously stated that Oyebanji expressed assurance in his capacity to triumph in the Ekiti gubernatorial election by a significant margin.

Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his aide, Benedict Alabi, and the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, secured their voting stations for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, during the current Osun gubernatorial election. Oyetola triumphed in his voting station at Ward 1, LA School, Popo, Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government Area, amassing 545 votes to surpass his main opponent, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 69 votes. In Aregbesola's absence, APC obtained 164 votes to dominate the minister’s voting station at Ward 8, unit 1, Isare Ifofin, Ilesa East Local Government Area, while the leading rival party, PDP, secured 134 votes.
