Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa has asserted that the prolongation of the term of Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu by President Muhammadu Buhari constitutes an illegal action. In a conversation with Vanguard, Adegboruwa expressed that the consequence of Buhari’s decision is that Nigeria currently lacks an Inspector General of Police. “The Federal Republic of Nigeria currently does not possess an IGP duly recognized by law,” he stated. Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, has confirmed the extension of the current ongoing continuous voter registration. Yakubu mentioned that the electoral body will not finalize voter registration on June 30, 2022. He disclosed this during the Youth Vote Count concert on Saturday at the old parade ground, Abuja. “The second aspect is you want to know when this registration will conclude. Will it end on the 30th of June in the next five days?
