
Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his aide, Benedict Alabi, and the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, secured their voting stations for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, during the current Osun gubernatorial election.
Oyetola triumphed in his voting station at Ward 1, LA School, Popo, Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government Area, amassing 545 votes to surpass his main opponent, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 69 votes.
In Aregbesola’s absence, APC obtained 164 votes to dominate the minister’s voting station at Ward 8, unit 1, Isare Ifofin, Ilesa East Local Government Area, while the leading rival party, PDP, secured 134 votes.
Deputy Governor Alabi also clinched his voting station at ward 6, unit 7, Baptist Day School, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government, with 206 votes, while PDP earned 184.
NAIJATAB NEWS had earlier reported that the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Adeleke, emerged victorious in his voting station 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North.
Adeleke gathered 218 votes; Oyetola received 23 votes, while Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi of the Accord Party secured merely one vote.
