
Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his assistant, Benedict Alabi, and Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, secured their polling units for the governing All Progressive Congress, APC, during the ongoing Osun gubernatorial election.
Oyetola prevailed in his polling unit at Ward 1, LA School, Popo, Iragbiji in Boripe Local Government Area, accumulating 545 votes to outpace his primary rival, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, who received 69 votes.
In Aregbesola’s absence, APC garnered 164 votes to conquer the minister’s polling unit at Ward 8, unit 1, Isare Ifofin, Ilesa East Local Government Area, while the leading opposition party, PDP, attained 134 votes.
Deputy Governor Alabi also secured his polling unit at ward 6, unit 7, Baptist Day School, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government, with 206 votes while PDP garnered 184.
NAIJATAB NEWS had previously reported that the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Adeleke won his polling unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North.
Adeleke collected 218 votes; Oyetola obtained 23 votes, whereas Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi of the Accord Party managed only one vote.
