
A delegate from Jigawa State, Alhaji Isah Baba Buji, has collapsed and passed away while participating in the presidential primary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abuja.
The late Assistant APC chairman responsible for Jigawa central zone is believed to have succumbed to heart failure on Tuesday morning at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja.
As reported by The Nation, Buji collapsed while preparing to proceed to Eagle Square, the location of the primary alongside other delegates from the State.
The Public Relations officer of Jigawa APC, Malam Bashir Kundu, who verified the event stated, “Yes, he passed away this morning. He collapsed at the Jigawa State Liaison Office in Abuja and was swiftly taken to the hospital but unfortunately died before arrival. When we reached the hospital, he was confirmed deceased. It has been suggested that he died due to heart failure.”
