Following further inquiries, police determined that the four students had been murdered through brutal stabbing. An arrest was made on December 30, 2022, approximately one and a half months after the killings, based on Dylan’s testimony.

Bryan Christopher Kohberger, a 28-year-old male, was apprehended in Pennsylvania for the murder of the four students. After reviewing his phone records, it was discovered that he had visited the crime scene multiple times prior to the killings. His DNA was also identified on the murder weapon.
