Ray Liotta’s Cause of demise unveiled in autopsy report

An autopsy disclosed that actor Ray Liotta passed away from cardiovascular disease last year.

One year after the “Goodfellas” performer died in his sleep while filming “Dangerous Waters” in the Dominican Republic, officials confirmed on Monday that the 67-year-old succumbed to atherosclerotic disease, defined by the buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in and on the arterial walls.

Authorities attributed his passing to pulmonary edema, a condition resulting from excessive fluid in the lungs, along with heart and respiratory failure.

Jennifer Allen, the actor’s publicist, verified to CBS News that Liotta died in his sleep.

“Based on the post-mortem indications, death may have happened roughly 8-10 hours earlier at the time the body was removed, and the autopsy was conducted on May 26, 2022, at 03:22 p.m.,” Dominican officials stated.

Liotta is prominently known for his portrayal as Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s iconic 1990 gangster film “Goodfellas,” featuring co-stars Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.

Liotta had recently starred in several significant films, including “Marriage Story,” “Killing Them Softly,” “The Place Beyond the Pines,” and “The Many Saints of Newark,” a prequel to “Sopranos.”

Her educational qualifications also remain unknown, as it is unclear what level of education she completed or which institutions she attended.

Grace began her professional journey as an actress in Hollywood before transitioning to film production. She began to assume significant roles in both front of and behind the camera. Her career kicked off in 1998 when she debuted in the film Rat Pack, portraying Judy Campbell, a woman claiming to have been the mistress of former US President John F. The actress later starred alongside her then-husband Ray Liotta in the 2002 film Narc, also taking on production responsibilities for the film. Her subsequent role was in Take the Lead, which she also produced, in 2006. Michelle participated in two other minor projects, but her career never advanced beyond those three films. Some observed that, despite her significant potential, her marital responsibilities hindered her career progression, and that her future in the industry would face substantial challenges as a result.

Michelle gained attention as the spouse of former baseball player and current baseball coach Mark Grace before embarking on her Hollywood career. The couple was married on November 5, 1988. While their beginning was promising, it soon deteriorated, leading them to file for divorce in 1993.
