After founding ServiceWorld Computer Center in 1991, Douglas Pitt went on to receive the ‘W. Curtis Strube Small Business of the Year’ accolade.
To focus on his philanthropic activities, he sold a 75% interest in ServiceWorld to Miami Nations Enterprises, an Indian tribe in Miami, Oklahoma, in 2007. Despite this, he remained an owner and the primary operating partner of the company.

In collaboration with TSI Global, he established the firm TSI Integrated Services in 2012, where the Tribe of Miami acquired a controlling stake in May 2013. Additionally, he set up Nexus Underground (NU), a cloud-based service provider, in 2012 and merged both ServiceWorld and NU into TSI Global in 2013.

In July 2013, he inaugurated an Innovation and Business Incubation Center in retail space owned in partnership with the Ozark Chamber of Commerce in Ozark, Missouri. In 2014, he founded Pitt Development Group as a specialized development firm in medical office space.

The charity had grown to 35 chapters when he resigned as President of the Board of Directors of CTL in 2017. In April 2019, as CTL celebrated its 10th anniversary, it had fulfilled the needs of one million children.
