Rhein Energie Stadion on Saturday.
Czech national Patrik Schick netted two goals for the Black and Reds.
Tella assisted Schick for the second goal seven minutes after the interval.
This marked Tella’s third assist of the season for Leverkusen.
The Nigerian international has participated in 16 league matches for Kasper Hjulmand’s squad this season.
Leverkusen continues to hold fifth place with 55 points from 31 games.
