Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka has commemorated Coventry City’s Sky Bet Championship victory, NAIJATAB reports.
Frank Lampard’s squad confirmed their position as Championship champions after defeating Portsmouth 5-1 at home on Tuesday.
The Sky Blues clinched the title in impressive fashion with two matches remaining.
Onyeka played a significant role in Coventry’s achievement after joining from Brentford in January.
The 28-year-old was thrilled to be part of the team’s accomplishment.
“History isn’t created overnight… it requires 25 years. Promotion…Champions. Proud to contribute to something extraordinary,” he wrote on X.
Onyeka, who transferred to Coventry on loan from Brentford in January, has netted once in 13 appearances for the club.
