“ADC Unveils Major News: Wike Could Pull the Plug on Facility Owner’s License Amid National Convention Buzz!”

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) spearheaded by David Mark has accused officials in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) led by Nyesom Wike of trying to sabotage its intended National Convention set for Tuesday in Abuja.
In a statement shared on X, the faction’s representative, Bolaji Abdullahi, claimed that the management of the Rainbow Event Centre conveyed to the party that external pressures prompted them to withdraw the venue.

According to Abdullahi, the venue proprietor stated that he had been intimidated with the withdrawal of his license by agents of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, should the facility be utilized for the ADC assembly.

He emphasized that the party had already honored all financial commitments and formalized an agreement with the venue ahead of the situation.

Despite the purported pressure, Abdullahi affirmed that the faction would carry on with the convention as originally planned at the Rainbow Event Centre.

He remarked that the group would not be dissuaded, labeling the scenario as an effort to undermine democratic principles.

“Having settled all requisite fees and organizing for our convention tomorrow, the proprietor of Rainbow Event Centre has just notified us that he is under pressure from the FCDA and the minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, that if he permits the ADC to utilize his facilities, his license will be revoked.

“However, we have already finalized the contract with him. We will conduct our convention tomorrow as scheduled at the Rainbow Event Center.

‘We will not yield to this encroaching tyranny. And certainly not to this minor tyrant,” he posted on X Monday.

Nevertheless, the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, had previously dismissed assertions that he prohibited ADC access to Eagles Square for its planned national convention.
