Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, advanced three Nigerian prodigies to first-team practice on Monday.
This arises in anticipation of Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final initial encounter with Sporting CP in Lisbon on Tuesday.
As reported by Arsenal youth team insider Jeorge Bird, forward Andre Harriman-Annous, defender Josh Ogunnaike, and goalkeeper Khari Ranson were among the academy talents invited for training with Arsenal’s senior squad at Sobha Realty Training Centre in London Colney.
Harriman-Annous and Ranson have been named in a Champions League matchday roster this season, while Ogunnaike has yet to earn a call-up to the Gunners’ first team.
Additionally, Harriman-Annous made his Champions League debut from the bench in a 3-0 victory against Slavia Prague last November, while Ranson remained an unused substitute in both legs of the Round of 16 confrontation with Bayer Leverkusen last month.
It remains to be seen if Arteta will incorporate Harriman-Annous, Ranson, and Ogunnaike in the Arsenal lineup to face Sporting CP tonight.
